Weil wir insgeheim darauf hören was andere sagen. Impressions from the past weeks on the mountains. To get these sunrises and sunsets pictured, I spent the nights on the mountains.

What I have been up to recently…. pictures from the past 3 weeks. "Time is all we have and don't" Time is passing by way too fast, the half of this year is already gone and it honestly scares me how rapidly it became summer.
That said, we are almost close to the end of my exhibition "Unter unserem Himmel" I had the chance to chose 7 very unique villages and places in the mountains of Tyrol and South Bavaria to share my mountain passion with other people. The place for the last showing is of course a place that means everything to me - The Dolomites. For almost 10 months, this exhibition was my baby, my love, my everything, I spent every minute planning, setting up, cooking etc. to show you my affection for this project - therefore the ending needs to be something very special. Even this all was very hard work, it was an amazing experience and I met fantastic people. Hopefully some of you will be able to join the last showing high up in the middle of the Dolomite Alps and celebrate "the end" of my first photo project… So, soon it'll be time to focus a few months on other things before starting something new in autumn this year - which will be announced shortly :) First of all, apologies it has been so quiet the past weeks on this website. Due several projects, forced time-off´s and especially the exhibiton I was not able to update this site. Yesterday we finished the third evening showing my favourite pictures, some short movies, telling stories and answering questions around the project "Unter unserem Himmel". Photography has always been a passion - I never expected or wanted to make any money with it or even thought about showing my photos in public and sharing the stories behind it. When I got the offer I honestly thought a lot about whether I should accept it or not. The mountains I visit, the things experience and the memories I make are more or less sacred to me. I didn't like sharing those things with people who don't understand what it means to me, this is why I only talk to fewer people about it, those who can truly retrace what I feel. After a few weeks I decided to go for it and put all the effort in this project. My doubts started fading and I started enjoying the opportunity I got. From the past evenings when we hosted the pre-dinner and the exhibition, I got so much positive feedback and encouragement so I knew I did the right thing. All of the ones that showed up are pretty much same minded as I am - they do understand why someone is living on a mountain for a week with nothing than a sleeping bag. They know what it means to lie underneath the stars and enjoy the beautiful beginning and ending of a day. And especially they appreciate their life and know how to live it. This post is dedicated to the people who came and will come to see my pictures, videos and want(ed) to hear "my" mountain stories. To those who are supporting me and crazy mountain mind and I'm also thanking my sponsors for making all this possible and believing in me and my work. Thank you! All details, dates, pictures from the past evenings and dinners etc. can be found via the point above "Exhibition Unter unserem Himmel". As promised below you can find a list of the planned tours and projects in 2019. In May I will probably only do normal hikes if possible - due to the "forced" time off.
Some of the tours are accompanied by my tour partners Max and Sean. This list will be updated on regular basis, since not all tours are finalized yet - we will also mark the accomplished tours. If you are interested in joining let me know :) Please note, to be safe I recommend to not do glacier tours all by yourself - I'm not an example for how you should do it.
