This adventure definitely took its tolls - physically and mentally. I was never entirely sure if I would be able to finish this trip - especially not after the bad weather came in. Physical strength is very important but more importantly is the mental strength you can generate even if you think - that's it - I'm done. It was never about being lonely or feeling scared (even if I did) but it was more about the thoughts that came up during this intense tour. Old wounds were teared up and the pain which came with it, made me drown... Thinking about the ones I have lost, terrible heartache and helplessness were as present as courage, joy and gratitude.
But once we jumped in the lake at the end of the trip I felt totally relieved... the ice cold water washed away the stress and worries from the past days. I want to thank every single one of you who supported this adventure, the countless messages and calls and the welcome party in the valley. Also a big thank you to Dynafit & Salewa for sponsoring this amazing time, and a big thank you as well to my great team for the unbelievable support. A detailed report, pictures and videos will be shown in a new exhibition this fall called: "Into the wild"
